When to use FMX over Screen Print Transfers
FMX isn't just a Full Color transfer, it's also a viable alternative to our spot color Athletic and Vintage screen print transfers. We recommend FMX transfers for 1+ Color artwork in the following scenarios:
- Artwork contains 2 or more colors
- Artwork contains 1 color that is not part of our standard stock color offering
- Order quantity for One Color artwork is 1-5 units
Is FMX the same as DTF?
Not quite! Though both FMX and DTF print full color graphics on a clear film, the similarities end there.
FMX is a game-changing new formula exclusive to FM that produces superior quality images at more budget-friendly prices. FMX applies to a wider variety of garments in a single press, at a lower temperature, and is also safer and more eco-friendly than legacy DTF.

Recommended Fabrics
Due to its low application temperature of just 260°, FMX reliably applies to a long list of fabrics, including: Cotton, Polyester, Cotton-Poly Blends, Triblends, Lycra®, and Spandex Blends. Users may set their heat press up to 325º° when applying to non-heat sensitive materials, like 100% Cotton.
Artwork Guidelines
We accept most file types & artwork. RGB vector art and 300dpi+ raster art are preferred. You can read our full list of art recommendations here. Our team reviews all submitted art to ensure it will print properly.
